Sadgoppan Ramesh is an Indian cricketer and former cricketer. He is a left-handed batsman and right-handed off-break bowler. Ramesh is the first Indian cricketer to take a wicket on his first ball in ODI cricket.
Despite his batting average being over 50 in his first six Tests and proving that he could easily play against top bowlers, he did not turn his debut into a big score. He was dropped after India’s tour of Sri Lanka when Ramesh scored 30 runs in 5 out of 6 innings but only one innings was converted into 50.
